What's new in Pokémon TCG Online 2.75:
- Added support for the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Vivid Voltage expansion. This expansion will be available in the game for code redemption on November 12 and in the Shop on November 13. Sword & Shield—Vivid Voltage will be legal for use in tournaments starting November 27.
- Barraskewda (RCL #053): Spiral Jet now does the correct amount of damage.
- Charizard (EVO #11): Energy Burn now affects Energy that is already in play when Charizard is put into play.
- Hydreigon (NVI #79, NXD #103): Dark Aura now affects Energy that is already in play when Hydreigon is put into play.
Pokémon TCG Online is an entertaining collectible card game and represents a digital adaptation of the legendary Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The main purpose of the game is to battle other players or computer players, to level-up and become stronger, and to capture as many cards as possible.
Straightforward and legendary gameplay
The battles are staged in virtual turn-by-turn card game environments in which you and your opponent have one creature on the field at a time. Furthermore, you can also change it during your turn from a collection of five additional creatures.
Basically, you will have to provide energy cards to your Pokémons in order to make their attacks as efficient as possible. The cards can be used for a wide assortment of reasons like for gaining special powers, drawing extra cards or healing your Pokémon creatures in case of massive damage.
Evidently, the game is lost when your lead Pokémon is defeated and the rest of the Pokémon pack is lost during the match.
An epic card game with one of the largest community of dedicated fans
As far as features go, in principle, that’s all this game has to offer you, with luck playing an important role as in the case of many card games. The Pokémon themselves are mostly just attack units that inflict damage, without other spectacular abilities.
Regarding the quality of the graphics, let’s just say that Pokémon TCG Online isn’t the best looking of the bunch, with old school buttons and cartoonish-like attack animations. On the upside though, the digital cards manage to emulate the delightful look of the physical Pokémon cards.
Another good thing is the fact that now you can enjoy playing Pokémon TCG not only on your Mac, but on any Windows based desktop device, as well as on your iPad.
